have you ever tried to explain a colour without showing it. for instance, trying to describe blue to someone who was born blind, i would say, blue is cool, calming, like water (just a short description there jessi had really really good ones, so if you need a hand talk to her hahaha...)

its not as easy as it ... well... looks. trying to describe a colour to someone that doesnt know what it looks like.

i would like to do a visual experiment.

objective: ONLY using black and white, draw a colour.

media: traditional

how to?:
choose a colour, it will be marked off for you
- first in best dressed
do your piece
- only black and white can be used
- no text / numbers
- take your time
post it on DA
description should have:
- whatever you want to write
- about the project
- list of other colours
- list of other artists involved
gimme your email address
- email address is so I can send you the completed links for your description

EDIT 3 - I think I will list the original people, but if someone wants to try this on an already claimed colour, I will add the link for them too.
EDIT 4 - When they are all done, im going to print them off, along with labels, and cut them up. I will test a range of people and see how many colours are correctly matched with their visual counterparts. This will be an interesting thing to do for me and will also see how well you personally represented your colour. I will put up the results for you guys to see.
- if anyone has a problem with me doing this please tell me, we will work something out...
